Flavio is one of the 4 choznas that are housed in our center.

In 2009 he was rescued by the Ecological Police in Lima from a market where he was offered as a pet. Despite the years that have elapsed it is a small male that is confused by its size with the females. Her companions, Gira, Gigi and Sassy rescued in Piura from different places share their days together, climbing from one log to another and running between the thick ropes that decorate their environment.

Life expectancy

They live between 20 and 23 years.

Habitat

It is found in the jungles of Central and South America.

Diet

They are omnivores, they eat fruits, vegetables. Sprouts, eggs, nectars, insects and small mammals.

Reproduction

They present their sexual maturity at 18 months in the case of the male and at 30 months in the case of the female. The gestation period lasts about 118 to 120 days and they have only one calf.
